Cathedral of Saint-just and Saint-pasteur

Cathedral of Saint-just and Saint-pasteur

About

Vignobles et Découvertes label

Built in the Radiant Gothic style, directly inspired by the great cathedrals of Northern France, the Cathedral of St-Just-et-St-Pasteur stands out for its unique choir, whose vaults rise to over 40 meters in height.

Built between 1272 and 1340, the cathedral remained unfinished, as the Consuls refused to demolish the ramparts to allow construction to continue. The main chapel, Notre Dame de Bethléem, features a 14th-century polychrome stone altarpiece.
